Challenge #5 – New Year, New Inspiration!
Posted by Ann Whitfield on January 1, 2010
We’d like to wish all of you a very happy and healthy 2010!
Thank you for all your entries for challenge#4 – it was wonderful just how many of you took part at such a busy time and we thoroughly enjoyed visting your blogs to see them and also enjoyed the email entry – which you can see just below this post. All the entries were added to the Random number generator and the winner of our fourth challenge is:
Number 5 is Sandra Dry – browse through the digi stamp and backing paper pages at the top of the blog Sandra and email me with your choice of two digi images and 1 backing paper collection. Do pop over to Sandra’s blog and check out her lovely work.
It’s also time to let you know who our Guest Designers for the two February Challenges will be. I’m happy to say that I’m inviting Blankiefinder (Running this way and that) and Kym (Kym’s Crafty Cards) to share their lovely work with us. There’s an email link in the side bar girls – contact me so that we can take it from there.
That also means that we need to start looking for GDs for the March Challenges, if you’re interested in applying, just put DT after your name in Mr Linky. If you’ve applied before, please don’t be put off applying again – we can only manage to have 1 or 2 each time so if you aren’t chosen first time around, it simply means that it’s been a struggle to choose.
Now on to our first challenge of the year and challenge #5 is new Year, new inspiration – Be inspired by something new – new stash for christmas, a new technique or a new idea you’ve picked up while blog hopping and tell us what the new bit is. As usual, you can make any project for any occasion and we can’t wait to see what you come up with! As usual there will be a prize of two digi stamps and one backing paper of choice for the lucky winner. To be in with a chance make sure that you have linked your entry – via Mr Linky if possible – by 6pm on thursday 14th January GMT.
The DT have come up with some corkers again – do check out their blogs to see the details of these delightful projects, especially as some of them will be showing you more than one photograph.
We also have the first of our Guest Designers this month and both Ali and Jenny have done us proud so make sure you check their blogs out too won’t you? I can promise that you won’t be disappointed.

I think you’ll agree that there’s a ton of inspiration here and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

I’ve dipped my toe very tentatively into the big wide world of copic markers, something brand new to me… and bought just one red copic and one colourless blending copic to start with.
I experimented with these on MY CARD which was also inspired by all the new things the year has to offer.
Verdict… I love them and found the blending one very useful for lightening and getting colour variations.

Hi
Happy New Year!! I usually use watercolour pencils, but painting with my grandson I used his paint palette…I loved the result of the little hedgehog…might have to snaffle his paint box!!!
Good luck everyone!!
