It was Kym’s turn to choose the top three for challenge #20, Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer and you gave her plenty to think about! We had some absolutely fabulous entries to feast our eyes on and this is what Kym  says about her final choices:

“My three, and the reasons why, are as follows but in no particular order:

This card is made by Davi aka Alstromeria’s Society.  I have chosen this card as I love seeing different shaped cards and love the vibrant colours and the flower on the front just add the perfect touch.

This card is made by Chris Olsen aka Twinkles Glow With Stamps. I have chosen this card as I love the use of different shapes with the Nesties, flowers, ribbon and sewing.

This notebook has been designed by Wendy aka Wendy Made and All Things Crafty.  It is nice to see other projects on blogs as well as cards and scrapbook pages and I love this way to use up scraps of ribbons.”

Now on to our news! This will be our last Crafty Ann’s challenge on this blog because we’re moving home!! Challenge #22 will be found at our new home here. This time the challenge has been chosen by DT member Kym and I think she’ll be getting you thinking so I’ll let her tell you about it:

Hello.  My name is Kym and I am quite a new member to Crafty Ann’s Design Team but I love taking part in the challenges, love working with wonderful digital images and papers that I just can’t stop using and love getting to see such wonderful creations from fellow bloggers/e-mailers for the challenges.

I have been given the chance of picking the topic for this fortnight’s challenge.  I have chosen a “Sir Cliff Richard song”.  I know this might sound very hard but have a look here to gain some ideas for your card/project.  There are lots to choose from and I shall look forward to seeing what you all come up with.  The Design Team have come up with some wonderful cards to give you some ideas and these are found below.  My card below depicts the popular song and film from 1963 entitled “Summer Holiday”.

Before we get on to this week’s challenge, I have some more news for you. Our lovely Wendy has decided to cut down on her challenge DT work and is stepping down from the team. Wendy was a founder member of the DT and we will sorely miss her but all fully understand her reasons for her decision. You will always be welcome here sweetie!

We do have some good news too though, Janet has agreed to join the team. Janet has been regularly joining in with the challenges from the begininning – in fact Janet’s first few entries were by email but now you can look forward to seeing Janet’s work from challenge #19. Welcome aboard Janet!

On to this week’s challenge which has been suggested by one of our lovely Guest Designers for July, Ann. At the top of the blog you’ll see a page with FREE templates for shaped easel cards so your challenge this fortnight is to make a SHAPED EASEL CARD – you can make it to any theme as long as it’s an easel card and as long as it isn’t  just straight forward square or rectangular. You can use one of the free templates or one of your own – as you’ll see, we have a mixture from the DT, including one made from one of the digi images from GD Doreen. This one gave me one of those “why didn’t I think of that?”moments and I was silly enough to voice it aloud to hubby who quite calmly said “well that’s why you have a design team dear!” Surprisingly he can still walk just fine unaided!! lol!

Don’t forget that you can use any products to enter but if you use any Crafty Ann’s product (papers or images) you will go into the draw twice.
